Future:

Recent research yields findings that the future of the Alaskan Tundra may be affected by global warming.  The tundra temperatures have increased to higher levels than ever before in recent years. Several changes have ensued as a result of this increase. For example, the chemistry of the tundra soil has changed so much, that what was once short green carpet that embedded the Alaskan tundra, is now tall bushy grass. Since soil contents vary according to their environment, it is predicted that this warming climate will eventually yield entirely different vegetation which will ultimate have implications for animals food and shelter within the Alaskan Tundra.
